Is Fairy Camp Right for My Child?
Fairy Camp is a small, thoughtfully guided creative program rather than a traditional outdoor day camp. Our days include art projects, storytelling, meditation, circle time, tea parties, movement and imaginative play. Although there is time for outdoor play and adventure, children are expected to join the group and participate in scheduled activities.
Before registering, please consider:
-
Does my child genuinely enjoy art, crafting and imaginative activities?
-
Can my child remain with a guided activity for approximately 20–30 minutes, with age-appropriate support?
-
Is my child generally willing to follow instructions and participate in group activities?
-
Can my child sit with a small group for stories, meditation, circle time and tea parties?
-
Can my child manage a structured day with transitions between different activities?
-
Can my child accept gentle redirection when they would prefer to do something else?
-
Can my child treat art materials, real china, the camp environment and other children with reasonable care?
-
Can my child remain with the group rather than frequently wandering away or refusing to participate?
Children do not need to be quiet or perfectly behaved! We welcome lively personalities, silliness, curiosity and imaginative energy. However, children should be able to participate in guided activities, follow basic group instructions and treat the space and one another with care.
If you are unsure whether Fairy Camp is the right fit for your child, please reach out before registering. We are always happy to have an honest and thoughtful conversation.
